Vinyl Coating Solutions

Problem:  A cargo van manufacturer offered nylon tie down belts with all new vehicles.  They found that the steel clips used in the process had sharp edges and the nylon eventually frayed and broke.

Solution:  Continental Coating powder coated the steel clips with epoxy and applied a polyethylene thermoplastic coating to the belt opening, extending the life of the nylon belts.  In addition the production line was altered to run backwards so the powder coated steel clips could be pre-heated and dipped in the thermoplastic automatically, eliminating manual processing and adding efficiency.
